They say that bad things come in 3's.
1) We arrived after dark and the campground was packed. No moon. Steep rutted roads. Impossible to find a camp site in the dark.
2) Jason's climbing partner flaked out and didn't show.
3) The fire ring is "not official". No campfire.
Then again.
1) The battery on the trailer is toast. It won't hold a charge and the propane detector's alarm will go off in the middle of the night if it doesn't have a steady voltage supply.
2) I left the hot cocoa at home.
3) Cash cut his finger.
So we came home a day early. And good things come in threes...
1) Freshly roasted New Mexico Chile's in Moab . Hurray!
2) Rock hammers at the rock shop for 8 bucks a piece.
3) Winter melons in green river and the trip is saved.
